Our specially designed itinerary of this trek ensures you a proper acclimatization en route and takes you up to this height of Everest base camp very smoothly.

 This memorable journey to EBC start by taking a Trans Himalayan flight to mountain air strip Lukla, the aerial views of some of the highest mountains Langtang, Jugal Himal, Gaurishanker, Melungtse are spectacular before the flight enters the Khumbu region. This trek, starts at the Lukla and follows the Dudh Kosi valley which climbs up to the Sherpa capital,a famous trading town of Namche Bazar. a bustling bazaar that’s a junction for trekkers, the local Sherpa and expeditions en route to the mighty Mt. Everest. During The trekking we pass through forest of rhododendron, pine juniper and Gompas (monasteries), Chorten (stupas) and mani walls (prayer walls of stone) that are abundant in this area.

The Thyangboche monastery, where Mani Rimdu festival is held every October or November is the great cultural and religious center for the people of Solu Khumbu. Proceeding further up and from Lobuche the path is clear and pleasant at first and then it climbs, twisting and threading its way onto the rough moraine of the Khangri Glacier and finally to Gorak Shep. From Gorak Shep, Kala Pattar is about two hours walk. The sunrise view from kala Pattar(5554m) is a rare and rewarding experience. Kala Pattar (Black rock) is the most popular viewpoint of the Everest region. After 2 hours Walk you eventually reach the actual site of base camp, high on the Khumbu Glacier, where colorful expedition tents give a bizarre appearance to this desolate place surrounded by rock, snow and ice. The descending trails involve nearly the same route down to Lukla for a flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 03:  Flight to Lukla and trek to Phakding (1860m) 3-4 hours
Day 04:  Phakding to Namche (3450m) 5-6 hours
Day 05:  Acclimatisation Day at Namche, Day hike to Khumjung village 5-6 hours
Day 06:  Namche to Phortse (3840m) 6-7 hours
Day 07:  Phortse to Dingboche (4400m) 6-7 hours
Day 08:  Acclimatisation Day at Dingboche day hike to Chukung 5-6 hours
Day 09:  Dingboche to Lobuche (4930m) 3-4 hours

Trip Cost Includes

  • 3 nights in 3 star or similar standard hotel in Kathmandu with breakfast
  • 12 nights in Lodge (basic comfort) during the trek with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
