This Annapurna Nar-Phu trek itinerary is designed to fulfill the dream of the travelers who want to discover the wonderful adventure of Annapurna circuit as well as explore a journey of wild and untouched valley of Nar-Phu. These two exotic villages lie in northern remote corner of the Annapurna region. The Nar Phu valleys, regions of ethnically-Tibetan inhabitants, grace us with similarly towering snow-peaks and unique culture. The trek up to Nar and Phu combines high peaks and passes, glaciers, remote villages, narrow canyons, lovely forests, amazing rock formations, yaks, gompas and unique Himalayan cultures. Two long days of walking from the border of Tibet, this region was first explored by Tilman in the 1950s. Closed to trekkers until late 2002, the Nar Phu valley remains untouched by modernity. The inhabitants, who roughly comprises of about 350 Nepalese Tibetans, have retained their age-old practices. very few westerners have explored these virtually untouched villages, we explore the high alpine valleys above Phu, and then from Nar cross the Kang La to Ngawal on the upper Pisang route leading back into the Annapurna circuit. From Manang the excitements of next phase begin to Cross the highest pass Thorong La on the way from Manang to Muktinat. The highest point of the trek is Thorung La pass at the top of the valley at 5416 meters high. As we descend to the west at Muktinath, from pass we continue to the barren Tibetan like village of the Kali Gandaki rivervalley,
the large valley dominates by Thakali and Mustang tribes. This trek has carries multi features with wide ranges of mountain scenery, flora and fauna, rare wildlife, and the experience is truly awe-inspiring for visitors. During this trek we will see fantastic views of the Annapurna massif, Lamjung Himal, Machhapuchhre Himal, Manaslu Himal, Dhaulagiri range and Tilicho peak.A moderate to challenging trek and sometime requires climbing up and down steep mountain paths. This trek can be done anytime of the year except during monsoon and winter, when the Thorung pass gets blocked by snow. Our specially designed itinerary of this trek ensures you a proper acclimatization en route and takes you up to Nar Phu,Kang ,Kang La Pass(5280m),Thorang-La pass(5416) and finally ends at Jomsom very smoothly.
